Robyn Odita
Mrs. Odita’s background includes over thirty years of experience in minority business development. Her focus is on business development and coaching small minority & women-owned businesses.
Since joining Tishman Construction in 2006, her primary responsibilities have included the management and implementation of the M/WBE programs for various clients such as Port Authority NY & NJ; Goldman Sachs and State of NY Thruway Authority, which encompasses the development, communication, and implementation of policies, strategies, and initiatives, related to supporting a diverse contractor base.
Before joining Tishman Construction, Mrs. Odita was Program Director of Contract Compliance for the Regional Alliance for Small Contractors, where she implemented and managed M/WBE programs for various clients, such as NJ School Construction, JetBlue, and the State of Connecticut.
In addition, she has developed state-of-the-art contractor training programs that provided courses enabling experienced S/M/W/DBE owners and employees to learn how to operate their businesses effectively and how to do business with state agencies such as the State of NJ, Port Authority of NY, and NJ and NJ Schools Construction Corporation program.
Mrs. Odita spent her earlier years with Ebasco Constructors managing the Affirmative Action Outreach program for the $5 Billion Monorail Project at Newark Liberty International Airport. Upon project completion, she continued with the Port Authority, managing the day-to-day, on-site Affirmative Action activities for Port Authority construction projects and tenant construction projects at Newark Liberty International Airport.
Clients/Projects
During my tenure, I had the opportunity to participate in many projects, including signature construction projects. Working under the direction of project executives and clients who understood the importance of diversity and inclusion created the most successful projects that met and, in many cases, exceeded the M/WBE goals as stipulated. Below is a list of some of the successful signature projects:
World Trade Center Vehicle Security Center, New York, NY
NY Thruway Authority, New York, NY
Goldman Sachs New Headquarters, New York, NY
Monorail Project, Newark Liberty International Airport, Newark, NJ
Additional Projects
Sisters' Salon & SPA, Mt. Pocono, PA
Star Bright Services, Rahway, NJ
Dr. Taft Richards III, Dental Practice, Duncanville, TX
